Happy Birthday, Lalla Ward!

Lalla Ward of course played opposite Tom Baker’s fourth Doctor as Princess Astra in “The Armageddon Factor” and later became Romanadvoratrelundar or Romana for short. Often referred to as Romana II, (since she replaced Mary Tamm) a role she held from “Destiny Of The Daleks” up through “Warrior’s Gate”.  Today is her 61st birthday.

Happy 40th Birthday… Glenn Bartlett!

Please join us in wishing our very own Glenn Bartlett a very happy 40th birthday.  Glenn of course, is one of the co-hosts of Traveling The Vortex, a producer for Berkeley Square, married, a father of two, and unfortunate owner of an iPhone, and when he isn’t talking Who, shooting films, garage sale-ing with the family, or arguing with Siri, he also produces the 6 and 10pm news casts for KSNT television here in Topeka.  If you’d like to send him your own well wishes, you can reach him on twitter, @vortexglenn.  Happy birthday, buddy.

And finally, our true discussion of all these Rogue Time Lords gets underway with Traveling The Vortex #73 as we discuss the life and times of The Meddling Monk, The War Chief, Omega, The Rani, The Master, and the Doctor himself in our adversary archive on Rogues and Renegades.

The last Friday Night Who of May, (5/25) concludes the Dalek War box with Jon Pertwee in “Planet Of The Daleks”.

And of course, what would episode 74 be without a horde of homicidal robots running amok? Our fourth Adversary Archive on the Daleks will cover “Frontier In Space”, “Planet Of The Daleks”, and Big Finish #7 “The Genocide Machine”

And beyond May?  Well, if all goes well expect a discussion on all things Shada, the return of Tom Baker to the schedule, our first Doctor Who book reviews, and more…
