Episode 482 – Mucho Master 1 – Doctor?

In this week’s podcast, we start to look back on a series of audios that Big Finish produced that tell Doctor Who stories a little differently. Doctor Who Unbound audios are ‘What if…?” stories that feature alternative universe versions of the Doctor and Companions,

First is Auld Mortality, written by Marc Platt and features Geoffrey Bayldon as the Doctor and Carole Ann Ford as Susan,

Then we review Sympathy for the Devil by Jonathan Clements and starring David Warner as a third incarnation of the Doctor, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart played by Nicholas Courtney, and Sam Kisgart (shhh,,, it’s really Mark Gattis) as The Master. A pre-Doctor Who David Tennant is also in this story as Colonel Brimmicombe-Wood.

We also talk about the news of the week.

Enjoy!

Episode 446 – Beyond the Doctor: Spooky Time 5 – Countdown to Armageddon

This week we continue to explore films starring actors who have played the Doctor.

Halloween is almost upon us, so we’re reviewing movies that could be considered a horror, a thriller, or just spooky in story and tone.

In this episode we look at Second Doctor actor Patrick Troughton and bonus Unbound Doctor David Warner in the 1976 Richard Donner directed film, The Omen. And then we follow that up with Eleventh Doctor actor Matt Smith in the zombie thriller, Patient Zero released last year.

And, of course, feedback.

Enjoy!
