It was announced Sunday in a live special on the BBC which was simulcast around the globe, that actor Peter Capaldi will step into the shoes currently being worn by Matt Smith to become the 12th Doctor.
Capaldi is no stranger to Doctor Who. He professes to be a life long fan, which is always a plus, and previously starred in the show playing Caecilius in ‘The Fires of Pompeii” along side Tenth Doctor, David Tennant. For more information on Capaldi’s career check out his Wiki and IMDb pages.
