Side Trip 21 – Bat Soup!

BvS_ttv_logo_newOn this week’s podcast, Episode 291, we discussed some things we did this week. One of those things discussed was that Shaun had finally got around to viewing, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, or as Shaun calls it “Bat-Supe”, nay Bat Soup. It ended up being a really long discussion of the film and the unfolding DC/Warner Bros. franchise, so we decided to release it as a Side Trip.

We hope you enjoy the discussion.

And we will return next week with more Doctor Who discussions in Episode 292, so be sure to watch for that.

Episode 291 – Abject Dalek Destruction

ttv_logo_newWe move sideway once again this week into another universe where our familiar Doctor is not present, but replaced with an old time traveling scientist called Dr. Who. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, we look at Daleks’ Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. We give our impressions of the second outing of Peter Cushing as the lovable old doctor as he encounters some new friends and an old enemy.

Also, Glenn does a mini-review of the Traveling the Vortex Book Club book for June, Doctor Who: Royal Blood by Una McCormack, featuring the Twelfth Doctor and Clara as they first encounter The Glamour.

Plus, some “we told you so” news-of-the-week.

And, of course, your feedback.

Side Trip 20 – Jeremy Bulloch at Planet Comicon 2016

ttv_logo_newWith the this week’s episode delayed a few days, we wanted to share a bit of the fun we had at Planet Comicon in Kansas City over the weekend. One of the many pleasures we had was the chance to host a panel called Traveling the Vortex: Classic Doctor Who with Jeremy Bulloch. We had the chance to meet and talk with the actor who starred in two Doctor Who stories. Jeremy Bulloch played Tor, the Xeron rebel leader in The Space Museum and Hal the Archer in The Time Warrior. Here is the audio that we recorded at that panel.
