In this week’s podcast we join the Seventh Doctor and Ace once again for two more adventures. First is our review of the middle part of the so-named “Ace Trilogy” with The Curse of Fenric. Then another Big Finish Productions audio, this time with the addition of new companion, Hex in The Harvest.
Plus, a look at some more Series Nine news, including so Doctor Who favorites of none other than the Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi.
And, of course, your feedback.

Now the real reason we did “Ghost Light” last week becomes clear…we’re watching something in order! Now it’s time for the next part of the “Ace Trilogy” “The Curse of Fenric”!
We’re doing one of Keith’s favorites for Friday Night Who this week…no not Ghostlight….but The Happiness Patrol!
Friday Night Whoers might be on your own this week…as we prepare for Kansas City’s Planet Comicon featuring the one and only Sylvester McCoy!
So for Friday Night Who this week we are watching what is considered to be his seminal story on the show (no…not Ghostlight like Keith wanted) but Remembrance of the Daleks!
@VortexGlenn, @VortexShaun & @VortexKeith aren’t sure if they will make it, but hop on twitter in their stead at Midnight CDT for the tweet along!
As always don’t forget the hashtags! #FridayNightWho #RemembranceoftheDaleks
We get spooky in this week’s Friday Night Who as we continue our 11 weeks for 11 Doctors countdown with the 7th Doctor story Ghost Light.

And keep an eye out for the hashtags #FridayNightWho & #GhostLight
It’s finally here. The wedding bells have rung and the party is over. Now it’s time to sit back and recount the day; The Greatest Show In the Galaxy. But first there are a few things to get out of the way. We share our review of another story of that name, the Seventh Doctor and Ace adventure, The Greatest Show In the Galaxy.
Also, our reaction to the news of the week, including the first shots of Doctor Who we’ve had in a long time with episode one of the weeklong prequels – “Pond Life”.
And of course, your feedback.
Tonight, our Friday Night Who offering jumps into Sylvester McCoy’s seventh Doctor time stream, with The Greatest Show In The Galaxy. The North American DVD released last week, so hopefully you’ve all had the opportunity to step right up and get one!
Join us on twitter for the live conversation, follow @vortexglenn, @vortexshaun and @travelvortex. (@VortexKeith is still on honeymoon/holiday)
Look for our hashtags #FridayNightWho and #GreatestShowInTheGalaxy. And if we’re lucky and ask very nicely, maybe @SylvesterMcCoy and @sophie_aldred will join us?!? See you then!
August 20 seems to be the largest conflux of Whovian birthdays on record (thus far) as celebrate seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy; Sophie Aldred’s companion Ace; writer, director, actor and Dalek Barnaby Edwards, as well as the late, great Anthony Ainley, who played the Master. (Two of them will feature in our #FridayNightWho this week, #GreatestShowInTheGalaxy)
Happy Birthday to you all!
And if you’d like to pass on your well wishes, all three are on twitter: @SylvesterMcCoy, @sophie_aldred, @BarnabyEdwards
