In space no one can hear you schedule

Sorry for the delay in getting the update out to you, faithful listener, but between New Series Who, 50th Anniversary plans, AND Planet Comicon our new scheduling robot the WHO-9000 has been thrown for quite the loop.  I think we’ve got him reprogramed now, so here’s some upcoming goodies.  (Remember, to make things easy on you with so much going on, the majority of Friday Night Who that is coming up are episodes we’ve already reviewed/watched.)

Our show recording tonight is #120, and we kick off our celebration of the third Doctor era by covering the IDW comic “Prisoners Of Time 3”, as well as have our reviews of BOTH “The Rings Of Akhaten”, and “The Cold War”.

Friday Night Who on 4/19 celebrates third Doctor Jon Pertwee in “The Time Warrior”.

Traveling The Vortex episode #121 finds us discussing the third Doctor Who Revisited special, Big Finish’s “Destiny Of The Doctor: Vengeance Of The Stones”, and new episode “Hide”.

On 4/26 we journey back to the first Doctor William Hartnell and the first TARDIS bound episode, “The Edge Of Destruction” for FNW.

We can’t wait for this week, as TTV #122 includes our  50th Anniversary Discussion of the  3rd Doctor Era, and our reviews of  “Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS”.

A special treat for @WhovianMich’s birthday on Friday Night Who of 5/3, we’ll be watching her favorite fifth Doctor Peter Davison episode “Enlightenment”.

May starts our celebration of the fourth Doctor, starting with IDW’s Prisoners Of Time 4, and our thoughts on new series’ “The Crimson Horror”.

Some new material hits Friday Night Who on 5/10, with Tom Baker in “Revenge Of The Cybermen”

And then TTV #124 is our Cyberman Archive III with “Revenge Of The Cybermen” and Neil Gaimen’s “Nightmare in Silver” (formerly “The Last Cyberman”).

That should bring us right up to the finale of season 7, and as always, Grand Moff Steven is being tight lipped about it so we’ll wait to schedule that when we know just a bit more than we do now.  Check out our facebook page for the third Doctor poll, and vote on what YOU think is the most iconic episode of his era (that we’ve reviewed).

Now, WHO-9000, can you open the pod bay doors please?

Friday Night Who 3/29/13

Doctor-Who-The-Impossible-Astronaut-posterTonight’s Friday Night Who is all about gearing us up for this weekend’s return of NEW WHO (or series 7b as it’s coming to be called) to our screens, and what better way to do that than with a taste of Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor himself?  We’ll push play on the two part “The Impossible Astronaut” / “Day Of The Moon” at midnight, CST.

Follow @vortexglenn, @vortexshaun, @VortexKeith and @travelvortex for all the updates on twitter, and look for #FridayNightWho, #TheImpossibleAstronaut and #DayOfTheMoon hashtags.  See you then!
