REVISED! New Year, New Schedule-More Comedy, Less Tragedy

1/20/17 – There have been a few tweaks based on the Titan comics release schedule, and a change to the Power Of The Daleks show, which we are NOT treating as a Lost In Time Segment. Updated entries to the schedule are in RED.

It’s time for a whole new batch of what’s coming up in the Vortex…

Friday Night Who on 1/13 is the Sylvester McCoy vehicle “Dragonfire”.

TTV #313 will take a look at Titan Comics 12th Doctor comics, series 2, #2.1 – #2.5, as well as Big Finish mainline audio #74 “LIVE 34”.

FNW 1/20 is the final part of Colin Baker’s Trial Of A Time Lord, “The Ultimate Foe”.

More Titan Comics featuring the 12th Doctor, Series 2 #2.6-#2.10, and Big Finish 8th Doctor Adventures Season 2: #5 “Grand Theft Cosmos” for TTV #314.

FNW 1/27 brings us last seasons “The Zygon Invasion” and “The Zygon Inversion” with Peter Capaldi.

Setting up TTV #315 for an Adversary Archive on The Zygons! Well listen to Big Finish 8th Doctor Adventures Season 2: #6 The Zygon Who Fell To Earth, then step outside the world of Who proper with a look at the professionally produced fan film Zygon, When Being You Just Isn’t Enough *.

* NOTE – Zygon, When Being You Just Isn’t Enough deals with Mature content and situations, and may not be suitable for everyone.

Friday Night Who on 2/3 is “The Gunfighters” with William Hartnell.

TTV #316 is a Book Review of Lethbridge-Stewart: Mind Of Stone by Iain McLaughlan, and The Christmas Files shorts.

FNW 2/10 (Finally) is “The Power of the Daleks” Part 1-3, as the Patrick Troughton story comes to DVD in North America at last.

TTV #317 We’ll finish off Titan Comics 11th Doctor series 2 with #2.11 – #2.15, and tackle Big Finish 4th Doctor Adventures: S2 #5 “Phantoms Of The Deep”.

Friday Night Who on 2/17 finishes “The Power of the Daleks” Part 4-6…

…and then an in-depth look into the story. We’ll talk about “The Power of the Daleks”(story, the animation, the color version), and the fan mounted film version in Traveling The Vortex #318

2/24 brings David Tennant to “New Earth” for Friday Night Who.

Our podcast epsisode #318 will review Titan Comics 10th Doctor series 2 issues #2.11 – #2.17, and Big Finish mainline story #82 “The Settling”.

FNW 3/3 is the masterful Tom Baker story “City Of Death”

TTV #319 is our Book Reviews of the novelization of City Of Death by Douglas Adams & James Goss

Friday Night Who on 3/10 brings back Peter Davidson and Team TARDIS in “Time Flight”

A pair of audios round things out for show #320, with Big Finish mainline story #91 Circular Time and #93 Renaissance Of The Daleks.

After that? Season 10 starts soon. (And keep in mind that it may start sooner than this schedule allows for, so things are always subject to change…) Thanks again for your support!

Update! The Return Of Schedule Mysterio!

Hey gang, as we discussed on the podcast this week, there has been a slight shift in the programming, since Power of the Daleks wont actually release in time for Friday Night Who, this week we’ve shuffled some things around. The updated (and expanded! NOW THROUGH 2017) schedule follows, for those of you who like to follow things.

Okay, since Power isn’t going to be ready yet, we stepped up the Tom Baker episode Meglos for Friday Night Who on 11/18

Episode #305 of Traveling The Vortex is our discussion of Meglos

THEN we finally get Power on for FNW. It’s a six parter, so we’re breaking it in two. The Power of the Daleks Part 1-3 11/25

In TTV #306 we’ll take a look at the Titan Comics 4th Doctor Mini-Series, and Big Finish 4th Doctor Adventures S2: #4 The Justice Of Jalxar

FNW 12/2 finishes up the animated The Power of the Daleks Part 4-6

Get Lost in Time for episode #307 as we break down The Power of the Daleks with the Novel and Animated recon

FNW 12/9 gives us a double helping of Patrick Troughton as we go back to Web Of Fear Part 1-3

BOOK REVIEWS! TTV #308 will be a grab bag of Candy Jar shorts, ranging from Havoc files 1 up to the most current release. The Creatures in the Cave by Rick Cross, The Last Duty by Christopher Bryant, Eve of the Fomorians by Robert Mammome, and The Lost Skin: Episode 1 by Andy Frankham-Allen. We’ll also take a look at the last couple of Goodreads book club books.

FNW 12/16 finishes off Web Of Fear with Parts 4-6

TTV #309 is another Candy Jar Book Review, this time we’re looking at Lethbridge-Stewart: Times Squared by Rick Cross

Christmas Time is here again! What better way to gear up than with Capaldi’s last Christmas offering, The Husbands Of River Song for Friday Night Who on 12/23.

New Years hits us with some more Pertwee action, as we hit up The Time Monster Parts 1-3
