Billie Piper is best known to Doctor Who fans for portraying Rose Tyler, companion to the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, the series’ first co-star upon its return to the air in 2005… and a major part of the reason its return to TV was such a smashing success.  A popular musician and actress who went immediately from her Doctor Who stint direct to three years as the star of the drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, returned for Doctor Who’s fourth series and again (as the Moment) for the show’s 50th anniversary in 2013.
